Flight
We suggest to fly into CDG. This airport is super accessible to Paris. We recommend taking the Metro, but cars or busses are also available. Uber is used widely in Paris.
Train
This is the largest and most popular train station in Paris. If you're continuing your travels after our wedding, make sure to look into traveling by train. It's the easiest way to get from place to place, and you cannot beat the scenic views of the french countryside.
Train
The Metro is extremely easy to navigate (even for the non-French speaker). We recommend using this to visit Paris sites, getting to/from the airport and general commuting from place to place.
Travel Note
Paris offers two types of Unlimited Public Transportation Ride passes to visitors. Which one you will need primarily depends on your day of arrival and the duration of your stay. The two passes are: The Navigo Découverte & Paris Visite Pass If you are arriving on a Monday or Tuesday, then the Navigo Découverte pass will work best for you. This pass begins on every Monday and expires on every following Sunday, even if you purchase the pass mid-week. Please note: you will need to take and place a small photo of yourself on the transit card. If you are arriving to Paris mid-week and are staying in Paris less than 5 days, then the Paris Visite Pass is for you. This unlimited pass allows you to choose any consecutive 1, 2, 3, and 5 days of usage on all public transit. It also includes discounts to museums, tours, and can be purchased in the United States. If you plan to acquire the Navigo Découverte pass, please note that the card MUST have your photo on the pass or you will be fined 85 euros. Here is a website to help you make and place your photo on your pass. https://visafoto.com/fr-navigo-card-photo
Hotel
Hôtel des Grands Hommes (The Great Men) is a wonderful, Parisian-Chic boutique hotel, and is where Brittney and Alex will be staying in Paris from 8 July - 12 July. This hotel is located right next to the historical Pantheon in the middle of the city. You are more than welcome to book a reservation at this hotel. We have stayed here during our past Parisian adventures, and we absolutely love this place. Please note: Like many other hotels around Europe, when staying here, you are required to hand over your room key to the front desk every time you leave the hotel for the day. You will be given your key back on return from your daily outings.
Hotel
Hôtel les Dames du Panthéon (The Ladies of Pantheon) is the charming sister hotel to Des Grands Hommes, and is located right next door. Their room prices are slightly more affordable than Des Grands Hommes, and it has a small bar. This is a wonderful choice if you would like to stay close to us but are unable to find a suitable and available room in Des Grands Hommes.
Travel Note
Please ensure your passport is up to date. You will NOT be allowed to enter into France if your passport is within 3 MONTHS from its expiration date.
