Nettle Meadow Farm is the home to over 100 farm animals and a cheese company in Thurman, New York just below Crane Mountain in the Adirondacks between Gore Mountain/North Creek and Warrensburg. We love to go and visit the goats, llamas and ducks and eat all the amazing cheeses. Their signature, Kunik, a triple crème made from goat’s milk and cow cream, is not to be missed! But even if you don't have time to make it to Nettle Meadow, luckily they distribute to Whole Foods and even two of our favorite NYC cheese shops - Murray's and Stinky's.
Great little market to pick up sandwiches, salads, and pastries if you find yourself in Saratoga! David's favorite is the Governor (cracked pepper turkey, provolone, avocado spread & herb mayo) while Alex's is the classic Putnam (turkey, brie & honey mustard). Quick tip: the honey mustard is amazing and can be purchased separately.
Around the World golf is one of the oldest and most unique mini golf courses in the US. Designed by Lake George local Harry Horn, this course was inspired by his travels around the world and the souvenirs he decided to bring back home (some bigger than most, such as the Rickshaw). There's a travel itinerary for all visitors---either they visit the landmarks around the world, or embark on a journey around the United States. This is a family favorite activity! We're partial to the Around the World (vs. US) course but you can't go wrong with either. (If you choose Around the World and can complete the Rickshaw hole in fewer than 10 strokes, you've done better than David. Unsurprisingly, Alex typically wins.)
