The Fosters

FAQs

Question

Will the wedding be outside?

Answer

Yes! The wedding will be outside with access to indoor bathrooms. Of course, anyone is welcome in the house whenever necessary, but most of the night will be outside. Prepare accordingly!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Invitations will be sent in December. Please RSVP by 03/01/2026.

Question

Are children welcomed?

Answer

Children are welcome to come to Washington with you; however, we will not be having children at the wedding. Children can come to any activities we have planned for the week, however, please inform Alexa head of time!

Question

Is there a dress code for the wedding?

Answer

There is no dress code, however we ask that you wear you best garden party attire. Please note: the ceremony and reception location is a garden. Therefore you may have to walk on grass, rocks, and stones. Please plan accordingly.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

We are having a very small wedding; therefore, if your guest was not approved before your RSVP was made, please do not bring a guest.

Question

Will there be parking available?

Answer

While there will be parking available, we ask that everyone carpool together in an Uber or Lyft to the venue. That way, everyone can enjoy the night responsibly!

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

While the wedding will be in Woodinville, you can stay anywhere in the area. Kendal and Alexa recommend staying in Woodinville, Bellevue, or Seattle. Seattle is about 30 to 40 minutes from Woodinville, so plan accordingly if you choose to stay here. We are gathering ideas for where guests can stay and will update those details on the "travel" tab.

Question

What if I cant attend any of the events prior to the wedding?

Answer

We want to make Washington a memorable place for everyone and therefore will be planning events prior too and after the wedding. If you cannot make these events or would rather explore Washington on your own, we understand! Please be sure to RSVP for EACH event once invitations are sent. This will help us gage the size of the group for each activity.

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 5:00pm but you can arrive earlier and explore the grounds if you'd like! We ask that nobody come earlier than 4:00pm. The Wedding will be at a VRBO so we have the entire location to ourselves.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! There will be an open bar. If you have specific drinks you would like, feel free to BYOB.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Washington in May is typically low to high 60's with sunny sky's. Expect a mix of weather, including periods of sunshine and overcast skies. The ceremony and reception will both be outdoors. The reception will be under a tent but please prepare accordingly and bring a coat or jacket as it gets chilly at night.
