Ours isn’t a whirlwind romance-it was more like a slow burn. We didn’t fall in love right away. In fact, we spent years as acquaintances, then friends, then best friends… and eventually, something more. It took time, but the best things usually do. 2007–2010 We met in 6th grade and ran in the same circles, through middle and high school. Weekend parties, Lonestar concerts, hanging out with friends; we were always around each other. Within these moments, at some point in time, Kendal developed a crush on Alexa (she played hard to get, naturally). 2014 College took us in different directions. Alexa to Lubbock, Kendal to L.A. But during a summer back home, mutual friends brought us back together. That was it. Something just clicked. 2017–2021 We started dating long-distance, seeing each other just a handful of times a year. But even with the distance, it felt right. We laughed constantly. We made it work. And we knew this was the real thing. 2022 We finally landed in the same place: Arizona. Going from FaceTime calls to full-on everyday life was a big shift, but it made us even closer. That year, we started our dream jobs (on the same day!), adopted our first dog, and supported each other through the highs and lows. It felt like the beginning of forever. 2025 Kendal proposed in Park City during a snowboarding trip. Alexa was totally caught off guard, until he asked her to “take a picture”. With just the two of us on the mountain, he got down on one knee with her dream ring - The easiest "yes" ever. It’s been a long, winding road...from classmates to soulmates, and we wouldn’t change a thing. We’re so excited to finally say, "I do."
