This hidden gem is our favorite place to stop while driving on the coast. Mariscos Tia is in the tiny fishing village of Popotla, but it serves some of the best and freshest seafood we've found in Baja. Sit on the outside desk, order a drink and enjoy the up-close view of the ocean. We recommend starting with a shrimp aguachile verde - spicy and perfect to share with the whole table! To enter Popotla, exit the road to the right through the bright green archway. You can’t miss it! Parking is available in front of the restaurant.
This charming, family-run winery is one of the only sparking wine makers in the region (their Sparkling Blanc is our favorite!). Check out their beautiful terrace and tasting room and be sure to try a few oysters at their appetizer bar. Open Thursdays thru Sundays, 11:00am-5:00pm.
Casa Frida is dedicated to Mexican art, inspired by Frida Kahlo and her famous Casa Azul. The property features art galleries, a wine & tequila tasting room and asador-style restaurant. Definitely an Instagram-worthy stop! Open Thursday thru Sunday, 11:00am - 8:00pm.
Discover the history and identity of wine-making in Valle de Guadalupe at this unique museum. Open Tuesday thru Sunday, 9:00am-5:00pm. The Museum requests a $50 MXP donation for each adult visitor ($2.50 USD).
