Flight
Barcelona’s international airport, El Prat (BCN), is well-connected to major U.S. cities. We recommend arriving by February 12 or 13 to have time to settle in before the wedding. Iberia offers direct flights from Los Angeles (LAX) and New York (JFK) — but not every day, so we highly recommend checking schedules early to find the best options. From Los Angeles (LAX): Direct flights (on select days) 1-stop options via Madrid, London, Munich or Paris Airlines: Iberia, British Airways, Air France, Lufthansa, American, Delta Flight time: ~11–12 hours From New York (JFK): Daily or near-daily direct flights Airlines: Iberia, Delta, American, United Flight time: ~7–8 hours 🛎️ Tip: February is low season, but Valentine’s Day may affect availability — book early for best fares and flexibility!
Travel Note
Barcelona El Prat (BCN) is just about 30 minutes from the city center, and there are several easy ways to get there: Taxi – ~30 minutes / flat rate around €35 to most central neighborhoods Aerobús – A fast, air-conditioned shuttle that runs every 5–10 minutes to Plaça Catalunya (€6–€7) Train (R2 Nord) – Great for budget travelers; connects Terminal 2 to Passeig de Gràcia and Sants stations Metro (L9 Sud) – Connects both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 to the metro network. While it doesn’t go directly to the city center, you can easily transfer at Zona Universitària to get to central locations. 🛎️ Tip: If you're traveling light and arriving during the day, the L9S metro is a great value and super reliable.
Hotel
We’ve decided not to reserve hotel blocks, as we found they actually made some options more expensive — which wasn’t our goal.
