The closest airport is Hilo International Airport (ITO): 25 minutes away. The most cost efficient airport is Kailua-Kona (KOA): 2 hours away. UPDATE 6/29: Fully vaccinated travelers (two-weeks post-second vaccination) will be able to bypass the 72-hour pre-travel testing requirement. Upload your vaccination record here: https://travel.hawaii.gov/#/registration and BRING YOUR CARD WITH YOU. All non-vaccinated travelers must participate in the state's 72 hour pre-travel testing requirement. You will receive a second (free) mandatory test upon arrival at the airport.
