Travel to Washington, DC is fairly easy via plane, train, and automobile. Perks of living in the nation's capitol. Plane: Flying into Dulles or BWI (Dulles or Baltimore) 7/10 While maybe cheaper, you still have to drive to DC. And that can get pricey. Flying into DCA (National Airport) 10/10 This is the closest airport to DC and just over the line in Virginia. All major airlines fly into all airports mentioned but flying into DCA might cost you a few more dollars and worth it. From DCA, you can take the metro or ride share for a reasonable cost to your lodging. Train: If you're coming from the Northeast, it is fairly easy to catch the train to Union Station in DC. From New York it's a 5 hrs trip. From Greensboro/High Point it's also 5 hrs Automobile: Trust your judgment on what you think is a reasonable drive.

Where to Stay

We realize we have guests operating from different budget points and hope everyone can find something to their liking. We've reserved blocks of rooms at two hotels on the Wharf that are (DC) reasonably priced. Of course, there are plenty of option in the district including Airbnb and VRBO. It's easy to get around via public transportation and ride share!
