Maid of Honor
Since my sophomore year of high school, and her freshman year, Anna has been the quintessential definition of a best friend. She is one of the most trustworthy, reliable, kind hearted, and funniest people I know. From sleepovers to backyard bonfires, weekend walks home from school, mango smoothies, and super intense games of Mario Kart. We have been through so much together and have so many memories from the last 15 years of our friendship. Although she now lives most of her life in St. Petersburg, FL, the strength of our friendship never stood against any odds. As Charlie Puth would say, she's only one call away.
Sister of the Bride/Bridesmaid
While this pretty lady is one of my bridesmaids, she most importantly plays the role of my younger sister. When we were young, Jess and I were as close as any two sisters could be. Whether we played Polly Pockets, ran around like dogs, or created our own restaurants we were always on the same creative wavelength. The memories from weekend routines, like all our movie nights (I still can't watch that scene from Chronicles of Narnia without laughing!!) or little moments, like sharing those giant gummy alligators from Cracker Barrel, will stick with me forever. While we both grow older and wiser, and she builds her life in NH, I know those memories will always bring us back. I can't wait for her to spend this special day with me.
Bridesmaid
While my friendship with this lady is fairly new, I feel like she and I were always destined to become amazing friends. However, we do both have to thank Nick for our meeting (he is very proud of his match making!). The night we met, she and her husband came over for dinner. It was an instant connection! Brianna always gives me the best wedding advice, considering she is a recent newlywed herself. We both share a love for gummy candy, Marvel, and busting out to 2000s classics. She is also one of the most thoughtful gift givers on this planet. I can't wait to spend this special day with her!
Bridesmaid
My "Jew Crew" USY and oldest friend. In 2008, we met during the Spring USY weekend convention. It was that weekend where we formed an incredible friendship. She is one of the few people who will match my excitement for wandering Hobby Lobby and The Christmas Tree Shops. From mall dates, Muse Paintbar sessions, and watching cookies bake in the oven, this girl and I always have a good time. We even created our own super exclusive club, AJAC (Alanna and Jillian's Association of Coolness).
Father of the Bride
My dad and the man who will walk me down the aisle. From teaching me how to whistle to helping me improve my recreational soccer skills. From sharing his love of the Red Sox and The Who to making sure we always sat down for a family dinner. He fixed everything I broke, knows how to make me laugh (mostly from never taking a normal picture), and always has my back. His love, wisdom, kindness, and silliness shines throughout my life. I am proud to be his daughter and am honored to walk down the aisle with him.
Mother of the Bride
My mom, the woman who most shaped me into who I am today. She has done so much for me and I have so much to thank her for. From sharing her love for animals, making me jelly toast when I was sick, and fueling my Barney and Bobby Jack obsessions. For belting out songs in the car, ice skating, silly dancing in the kitchen, and teaching me how to bake and to never wash an un-licked beater. But, most importantly, for all the love and support that she's had throughout my relationship with Nick and my 30 years on this earth.
Father of the Groom
My dad and the future father of the bride. He is one of the most supportive, kind hearted, and funniest people you'll ever meet. He loves to cook (something he and the bride have in common!) and makes a mean rack of ribs. If you're invited to one of his BBQs, prepare to roll out of there with a full stomach! Watch out for his quick witted dad jokes - he has tons of them up his sleeve!
Mother of the Groom
Although Marian won't be with us in person to celebrate this special day, she is always here in spirit. With her caring nature and outgoing personality, Marian was a strong influence not only in my life, but in Alanna's life as well. With her passion for photography and painting rocks, Marian taught me to always be kind to others and to always see the beauty in everything (even if that thing is a dilapidated barn). Love you, ma! Make it a great day.
