Please RSVP by May 31, 2026.
Yes — visitors entering the park will need to show ID and pay the standard park entrance fee. Proof of U.S. residency (e.g., driver's license) will be required to ensure paying a reduced rate. Unfortunately, this is a recent change to the park’s entry policies. When we first began planning, our event permit would have allowed us to cover entrance fees for guests, but that is no longer permitted under the updated rules. Additional Acadia fee information can be found here: https://www.nps.gov/acad/planyourvisit/fees.htm Please be sure to review the park’s entry requirements and allow extra time for arrival. Note that fees typically cover multiple days of entry, so you can enter and leave the park throughout the weekend. We’re so grateful you’re making the trip to celebrate with us and appreciate your understanding.
Guests should plan to arrive at the ceremony location by 8:45am. Consider taking the National Park's free Island Explorer Shuttle (https://www.nps.gov/acad/planyourvisit/island-explorer.htm) to ensure no issues with access to parking spaces. Expect traffic and lines at the National Park entrance; further details below.
For the ceremony: Parking near the ceremony site is very limited. The two closest parking areas are the Otter Point and Otter Cliff lots, which can fill quickly on a summer Saturday. If you plan to drive, we recommend carpooling and allowing extra time for traffic, parking, and potential wait times at the park entrance. Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before the ceremony to allow time to park and walk to the ceremony location. Acadia National Park strongly encourages visitors to use the free Island Explorer Shuttle, which stops at Otter Cliff and is often the easiest way to access this area of the park. If you plan to use the shuttle, the Sand Beach route that arrives at Otter Cliff around 8:35 AM should allow enough time before the ceremony. Shuttle routes and schedules can be found here: https://www.nps.gov/acad/planyourvisit/island-explorer.htm For the reception: Parking will be available.
Guests should expect a short 5-minute walk from the parking area or shuttle stop to the ceremony location. The path may include uneven ground such as dirt, gravel, or rocks, so comfortable shoes are recommended. We recommend allowing extra time to park or exit the shuttle and walk to the ceremony site.
For the ceremony: wear whatever feels comfortable. The reception isn't until early evening, so there will be plenty of time for guests to explore Acadia National Park at their leisure after the ceremony. Sturdy shoes are recommended, as you may be walking on dirt, gravel, rocks, or sand. For the reception: cocktail attire is welcome.
Due to space limitations at the ceremony site in Acadia National Park, the ceremony will be an adults-only event. For the reception, we may be able to accommodate a limited number of children. If bringing your children would make it easier for you to attend, please feel free to reach out.
Please inform us of any allergies or dietary needs and we will do our best to work with the venue to accommodate.
