Adam and Alaina are Getting Married!

Adam and Alaina met in graduate school at Florida State University in August 2016. They both worked in the FSU Career Center, and even had desks next to each other in their office space! The two quickly connected and became fast friends when Adam cleverly introduced himself on the first day of Alaina's training by asking her if she could guess the states around Indiana, his home state. Alaina, a Florida native, dazzled Adam not just with her beauty, but with her brains as she deftly listed the states bordering Indiana. Over time, the two grew closer as they co-taught a career development course for undergraduate students, and advised students, alumni, and community members together during drop-in hours. In November 2017, Adam saw Alaina perform in a play and the two continued to develop their friendship. Not long after, they began dating and soon realized how deep their connection to one another had grown. Although it was unclear where in the country Adam would end up after completing his PhD coursework, he realized that he wanted Alaina with him. The heavens smiled upon the couple and the two found themselves moving to sunny Tampa, FL in June 2018, where they take a 21st century spin on the fairytale notion of "happily ever after" as they continue to actively grow their love, respect, and compassion for one another every day.
