FAQs

Question

Do I need to RSVP?

Answer

Yes! Please RSVP no later than the date indicated on your invitation.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We love your kids - we really do! However, we want you to think of this as a night off. Unless your child(ren) are listed on the invitation, please do not bring them. If you are unable to coordinate childcare and require it at the hotel, please reach out to Kara and Aaron at aklausyaffair@gmail.com.

Question

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

Our wedding is black tie optional. Individuals are welcome to wear a dark suit or tux, long or formal cocktail dress or jumpsuit. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes though because we want everyone on the dance floor!

Question

Will transportation be provided to the venue?

Answer

Yes, bus transportation will be provided to and from the venue.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! There is plenty of free, self-parking available on-site at Sweeney Barn.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation indicates "and Guest", then YES! If your invitation says a specific person's name as your guest, please do not bring another individual. Contact us if you have a question.

Question

What does the chuppah, structure we stand under during the ceremony, signify?

Answer

The bridal canopy is a multifaceted symbol: It is a home, a garment and a bed covering. Its openness recalls the tent of the biblical Abraham, a paragon of hospitality, who kept his tents open on all sides so that visitors would know they were welcome. The tabernacle built in the desert to house the presence of God is described as a bridal canopy.

Question

Can I post photos/videos on social media?

Answer

We are having an unplugged ceremony and ask that you be fully present with us. Please do not post on social media until after "I do's" are said. Once the reception begins, please post all you want using #AKlausyAffair and/or tagging us in your posts.

Question

What COVID-19 precautions are you taking?

Answer

We look forward to celebrating with all of you while keeping everyone’s health and safety in mind. Therefore, we respectfully ask that all guests in attendance for the weekend’s festivities be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. If this poses a challenge for you, we ask you celebrate with us virtually. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes, here! Click on the Registry tab above.

Question

Will the ceremony be outdoors?

Answer

No. Our ceremony and reception will be held inside the Sweeney Barn. Pending weather, guests will have the flexibility to be indoors or outside during the cocktail hour where firepits and lawn games will be available. All events will be self-contained.

Question

What if I have a question that isn't listed here?

Answer

Contact us! You can email Kara and Aaron at aklausyaffair@gmail.com or text us in the weeks leading up to the wedding. We respectfully ask that you do not contact us on the day of our wedding.
