We met in high school at Volcano Vista, roaming the same halls, graduating in the same class of 2016… yet somehow, we never had a single class together. Destiny said “not yet.” We even went to the same religious education program at St. Jude, and still didn’t connect. Destiny said “almost.” Finally, thanks to a mutual friend, we met by chance — one of those small teenage introductions you never think will change your entire life. But timing is everything, and back then, the universe said, “Give it a minute.” Years later, after high school ended and college began, we reconnected… and this time, everything clicked. We talked nonstop, laughed until our stomachs hurt, and realized how natural it felt to be around each other. On July 20th, 2018, we officially became a couple — though honestly, we were pretty inseparable long before that. So inseparable that Alejandra “accidentally” moved into Jordan’s house with his roommates. (One day she was visiting… and then suddenly she lived there. Oops.) From ABQ to Mesa, Tempe, Edmond, Aventura, and back to ABQ, we built a life together in different cities, different homes, and different chapters. We took trips across the U.S. and Mexico, collected memories, inside jokes, and an impressive number of airline miles. In 2020, during the chaos of COVID, Jordan gave Alejandra the sweetest gift of all — a tiny, long-bodied miniature dachshund named Luna, who instantly became the princess of the household. We grew up together — from 20-year-old kids to (almost) 30-year-old adults navigating life, love, careers, and Costco runs. And in 2025, on the cliffs of Kauai, Hawaii, the island that felt like magic from the moment we landed, Jordan asked Alejandra to marry him. Now, after years of loving, learning, laughing, moving, traveling, and building a life together, we’re finally saying “I do” — in the same place where we said yes to forever.
