Wedding Party

Meet the friends & family who are walking down the aisle with us.

Mackenzie "Max" Davison

Bride's Attendant

Max and Aisling met as roommates during their art school days, bonding over the absolutely wild scenarios that come along with that. Life led them to continue being roommates outside of school, to a life long friendship, and sharing the experience of a friend finding their person. Max knew there was something about James from the very beginning. He showed Aisling the things that we all see and love about her, and so much more. The first time James and Max met in person, she was the only one with a car, so Max drove the two all around to see the sights in and around Portland, bonding over their mutual love for what turned out to be James’ favorite band. Max knew without a doubt that this was Aisling's person!

Jack Bonner

Groom's Attendant

Jack has known James since his own birth. They grew up with the same lovely parents - Nard & Robin. James & Jack share a love for Philly Sports. Jack feels as though James & Ash have been together for over a decade as Ash blends so well into the Bonner Family. He loves the fact that he can see his brother happy with a partner that makes him complete.

Colin Hagerup

Bride's Attendant

Colin is a Virginia Tech engineering major and Aisling’s youngest brother. He survived his younger years despite Aisling’s babysitting, and as adults the two love nothing more than comparing Spotify playlists. The first time Colin met James, he was driving halfway to New Jersey to hand off Aisling for a weekend. The neutral territory they chose was none other than Waffle House. Colin learned that James was a Philly fan, something he was immediately suspicious of… but over a stack of hash browns, and then over time, James proved that he was a good guy and more than just his sports allegiances. Colin was so excited when Aisling & James announced they were getting married and now he can’t wait to stand up with them for the big day!

Rachel Carlsen

Groom's Attendant

Rachel and James’ friendship was forged in church youth group (in a cool way) and pop-punk teenhood, and continued to flourish through college, adulthood, and a few blissful years together in Chicago. The first time Rachel and Aisling met, they ranked Nora Ephron movies and it was immediately clear that she was the cool half of the couple. Rachel owns two jello cookbooks and plans to overdo it on Shirley Temples at the wedding.

Sean Hagerup

Bride's Attendant

Sean is Aisling's middle brother and occasional legal counsel. He is selfishly elated that he has been able to share in the spoils of two wonderful people creating an equally wonderful life together over the past few years, and gives his toasts to many more. He first met Aisling at the crossroads of infancy and consciousness. The knock-on effects of this have been disastrous for anyone who isn’t either of them. And, as is the case with any enduring bond, Sean first met James at the Waffle House in Elkton, Maryland. The two of them quickly connected over music, pina coladas, and the shared experiences of living in the midwest. In the intervening period, Sean has cherished the memories that he and James have created through those shared passions (yes- even the Malört). A graduate of the University of Virginia, Sean currently resides in Madison, Wisconsin with his cat (and occasional legal counsel) Vashti.

Erica Trimboli

Groom's Attendant

Erica and James have been friends since childhood, and spent many weekends in the Bonner family basement watching the The Chicks’ Top of the World movie. Through church youth group, shared vacations, a brief but illustrious rec soccer career, and the time honored horrors of teenagehood, they formed an unbreakable bond. Erica is a proud DC resident and feels that she and Aisling have an inherent connection as only two people who have experienced Beltway traffic can. They met for the first time when James and Aisling visited Erica’s DC apartment, and Erica talked nonstop the entire time. Aisling on the other hand was incredibly cool and chill, and doesn’t seem to hold Erica’s first impression against her (which she appreciates). Together, James and Aisling are some of the coolest people around and Erica can’t wait to celebrate them!

El Pinkerton

Officiant

The day James and Aisling met, El was there as a scientist to observe two rare and beautiful events; soulmates finding each other and the Flyers winning a game (sorry). Her friendship with James had begun years before with the exchange of a perfect gin & tonic and their darkest secrets. Her friendship with Aisling was sealed the moment she watched James sweep Aisling into his arms in the United Center parking lot and thought: these two people could make each other stupidly happy for the rest of their lives. She’s delighted but unsurprised to have been right.

Kayla Bonner

Flower Woman

Kayla first met James while working at the infamous Coldstone Creamery while they were teenagers. Found a friendship with both James & Jack. Kayla & James then became housemates after moving into the Bonner home with her now husband Jack. Kayla is over the moon to know that James has someone that loves him & makes him happy. The first time she saw them together, she knew it was something special (this is not a declaration she makes often). The way James & Ash communicate & love each other though it all speaks volumes for their relationship in the future. Kayla is so happy to be a part of this day. Kayla will be throwing it back on the dance floor all night, 100% guaranteed.

For all the days along the way
