Makedonia International Airport

This will be the airport you'd be flying into. It is approximately 30 minutes by car to the city center of Thessaloniki. There are dark blue taxis outside the airport 24/7 that you can use or you can order a car through a rideshare app listed below. Suggested rideshare app (Uber).

It is recommended to stay near Aristotle Square, Thessaloniki much of the events will taking place near the area as well as bussing. A list of some recommended hotels can be found below. Aidan will be staying at Electra

GROUND TRANSPORTATION INFO:

Shuttle

Shuttle from Electra Palace to the Ceremony, Venue and Back

July 25, 2026 6:00 pm

We will be providing a shuttle bus for those interested, that departs from the hotel where Aidan (place pending) will be getting ready, Electra Palace. This shuttle will take guests to the church, followed by a short drive to the venue and returning at 1 am.

Public Transportation

Thessaloniki, although very walkable, does have public transportation including buses and a subway line. However, there may be a language barrier and we suggest sticking to the rideshare apps to avoid any issues or confusion.

Rental Car

If guests decide to rent a car, we want to inform them of some things to look out for when making the booking. Most cars in Greece are manual, make sure to select automatic when looking at a car. Also, most rental companies accept foreign driver's licenses but we'd suggest confirming before making your booking.
