Adam and Morgan met while both working for Montana Highway Patrol, Adam is a trooper and Morgan was a dispatcher. They quickly bonded over their shared music interests, faith, and golf. One of their first dates was golfing, Morgan won that round and his heart (duh), she has not won a round since. They travelled between Helena and Bozeman to see each other on their weekends, then Morgan moved even further away to home in Lolo and Adam eventually followed her, now living only 2 minutes apart.

The proposal happened while Adam and Morgan were doing one of their favorite things, exploring the mountains. They originally were going to find a fire lookout tower up a road they have travelled many times hunting for huckleberries. In their ordinarily spontaneous fashion, they found a different intriguing road that lead them to a spot overlooking a valley below. The sun was setting, illuminating the sky with beautiful colors, while Morgan was taking pictures of Montana showing off, Adam got down on one knee, and you know how the rest goes.
