Santa Barbara Pier
We recommend tasting some fine wine at Deep Sea Tasting room ... with one of the best views of Santa Barbara! We also love the restaurant all the way at the end of the pier, Santa Barbara Shellfish Company. Put your name on the list and expect a 30 minute wait.
Santa Barbara Harbor
A meal and drinks at Brophy Brothers is always great! A short walk north on the bike path will take you to Shoreline Restaurant & Bar with tables literally on the sand!
State Street
State Street is the main walking street in Santa Barbara. Known for the many restaurants, bars, and shops ... it is a great place to walk around. For the stiffest drink in town, stop by Joe's. Be aware of the homeless.
Old Mission Santa Barbara 1786
One of the most beautiful of all California missions founded by Father Junipero Serra back in 1786.
East Beach
East Beach is where it all began ... both Laszlo and Karch have volleyball courts named after them here!
West Beach Sunset
Right across the street from the Hotel Milo (one of the recommended hotels) is West Beach. It is a great place to take in the sunset!
Los Olivos
Just north of Santa Barbara is a rich wine producing region immortalized in the movie Sideways. There is Solvang where the Hitching Post serves yummy Pinot and Santa Ynez where one of our favorite restaurants, Santa Ynez Kitchen is located. But our favorite town to visit is Los Olivos. Los Olivos is a cute little town with a ton of wine tasting rooms. We are members at Stolpman and Carhart. Bella Kitchen and bar has an incredible truffle pizza! Reservations are best but walk-ups can work sometimes.
