Love to hike? Asheville is LOADED with hiking trails and areas! Feel free to check out AllTrails for the best navigation. We personally recommend the Mountains to Sea Trail on the Blue Ridge Parkway for views. If you want some time in nature, but don't want to go far, check out Richmond Hill Park or walk along the French Broad River in the River Arts District.
Need a pick-me-up during the day? There is a ton of great coffee nearby. Some places we recommend are: -Gallivant Coffee (100% vegan shop) -Summit Coffee (Foundy St, to check out the cool River Arts District) -Liberty House Coffee (for a local favorite) -High Five Coffee (Riverside Dr, for a great view of the river) -Asheville Coffee Roasters (great to-go coffee)
Love chocolate? We highly recommend this downtown chocolate shop if you need a weekend fix! There is a location in the heart of downtown, but if you'd like a factory tour to add to your tasty treats, check out their Riverside Drive location.
One of the local must-sees is the world-renown Biltmore Estate! This impressive estate has tours of all different kinds and it is a great way to spend the day and learn about some local history.
Take a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway during the gorgeous Fall season! You will see mountain ranges, lookout points, changing leaves, and glorious sunsets.
