Mr. & Mrs.

We met in the snowy mountains of Aspen, during a winter night filled with laughter and unmistakable chemistry. From that first night, Eliya couldn't deny that Adam had caught her eye, and Adam persistently asked her out over the holidays until she agreed to go out on a date. Adam's patience and perseverance would be the foundation of their relationship, as Eliya insisted on being wild and untethered in her 20s; Adam was her rock, patiently waiting for the day she would talk about wedding plans and settling down. Little did she know, Adam had been secretly saving for an engagement ring six months into their relationship, but accepted that the wait might be years (and then a few more) until the timing was right. July 4, 2021, Adam created the most magical, perfect, surprise proposal at Eliya's favorite beach in Michigan. The whole family was in on it! Eliya could not believe how much thought and effort Adam put into it--it was a no brainer "Yes!" and an "A+" from her teaching expertise. Through several cross country moves, floods, fires, trials, tribulations, and even a pandemic--Adam and Eliya found that whenever their relationship was tested, they grew stronger. There were many a nights when they looked at each other and thought, "Life with you is just so easy and right, and there is no one else I'd rather do it with." At the core of it all, Adam and Eliya are partners. Equally supporting one another, lifting the other up when needed, sometimes talking the other one down from overdramatic thoughts. Other times, waiting years for someone to see what is right in front of them. On May 28th, 2023, Adam and Eliya had an intimate, tasteful, and tucked-away wedding in Taos, NM. The couple said, "I do," in front of their closest family members, and celebrated in New Mexican style with beautiful desert backdrops, thoughtful toasts and speeches, spicy margaritas for all, and a surprise guitar solo by the groom. It was a glorious day to remember. The only thing missing was the love and support from their closest friends--all of you who have been by their sides all these years. Thus, a plan was born. Another reason to keep the party going, to continue the fun and and celebrating, and to do it with you all! (Plus, we all know Eliya loves a party.) We would like to formally invite you to a weekend away with us, in our new hometown of Asheville, NC. Think of this as a trip to kick back and relax, but with your good ol' besties. We will dance, explore the outdoors, share a few drinks and stories, and leave feeling connected in this couple's new journey of marriage!
