Spain’s kiteboarding mecca; Tarifa has endless sandy beaches, huge dunes, and a laid-back surfer vibe. Great little shops, relaxed cafés, and a really charming old town.
The highlight is the Mezquita; a huge former mosque with a cathedral inside. In late summer, the famous inner courtyards are filled with flowers.
Cádiz is one of the oldest cities in Europe, with truly beautiful beaches. Our insider tip: the Calas de Roche, small, sheltered coves with turquoise water and cliffs.
Málaga has cool bars, a lively old town, the beach, and it’s often the starting or ending point of a road trip anyway. If you want something special: El Tintero, a legendary waterfront restaurant. You don’t order food there, you bid on it. The waiters walk around with plates, singing out what’s available like at an auction, and whoever shouts first gets it.
With flamenco, Moorish palaces, vast cathedrals, or simply a stroll through its colorful streets, Seville is a cultural highlight. A small heat warning: in summer it can get brutally hot, so it’s best to head out early or wander around in the evening.
Our personal favorite among the white villages! Set on a hill, with narrow streets, lots of local handicrafts, and fantastic food.
Famous for the iconic Puente Nuevo, the dramatic deep gorge, and bullfighting. A historic old town full of character, great restaurants, and stunning viewpoints.
If you ever want to visit the place where we got engaged, you can head to Cabo de Gracia! There are beautiful cliffs, beaches, restaurants and cafes.
