Casual - Bring layers - once the sun goes down it usually cools down a lot!
Come on down to the beach by the fire pits at Shelter Islands Shoreline Park, next to the Shelter Island Boat Ramp. It is located within walking distance from ALL the hotels on Shelter Island. We will have food from Mangia Mangia Italian Kitchen (they may be bringing their food truck too!) and drinks. We are going to be hanging out, eating, having some cocktails, beers and making s'mores over the fire. Come and join us to kick off the fun weekend. Can't wait to see you! PS - You will see tables, chairs and the caterers so will definitely have no problem finding us. :) FYI: You typically cannot drink on the beaches and in most parks but we have a permit for this event between 5pm-9pm so can only drink in our area at that time.

Ceremony

Beach Attire: Wear a suit (no tie needed), linen pants, button downs, cocktail dresses or a beach dress. No shorts please. We will be on the sand. Bridal party will be barefoot, so shoes optional.
Exact Time TBD. Shuttles will be picking up from Kona Kai transporting guests to the ceremony at South Mission Beach. Shuttles will also transport guests from the Ceremony (South Mission Beach) to Kona Kai for the reception that begins at 5:00pm. (NOTE: If you are staying at Best Western on Shelter Island, Kona Kai is about a 6-8 minute walk.)
Reception

Beach Attire: Wear a suit (no tie needed), linen pants, button downs, cocktail dresses or a beach dress. No shorts please. We will also be on the sand at Kona Kai. Bridal party will be barefoot, so shoes optional. It gets cooler at night so we suggest bringing something warmer to layer.
If you plan on driving, valet parking is complimentary. The reception will be outside on the private beach at Kona Kai so we strongly suggest not wearing heels and encourage you to go barefoot once in the sand. Shuttles will be picking up from the ceremony at South Mission Beach and transporting guests to Kona Kai for the reception that begins at 5:00pm.
After Party

Come hang out with us after the reception! The bar is located at Kona Kai right next to the private beach where the reception is. The bar typically closes at 10 p.m., but we're paying to have it remain open for us and all our wedding guests until midnight!

Day After Get Together

We are planning to do something to meet up the day after our wedding and are thinking that we will head to Coronado Island Beach for a chill, relaxing, beach day. This is our favorite beach in San Diego. Even the drive over there is gorgeous. There is the famous Hotel Del Coronado right there that we can grab a drink at too and there are tons of other places to eat or look around right off the beach. (PS - They also have a dog beach at one end that we take Carmelle too!).
