Yes - and that's one of the many reasons we chose to get married there! Paradise Point is a 44-acre island resort with plenty of things to do during your stay so you don't even have to leave the island to get into some fun. To name a few... -The resort has 5 pools/hot tubs scattered around the grounds -A full-service spa & fitness center -Beach bonfire pits -Two restaurants, poolside food & drink service, coffee shop, and a marketplace with snacks, drinks, and essentials (i.e. s'mores for the bonfire pits) -Water sport rentals: Sailboats, jet skis, paddle boards, etc. -Recreational sport rentals: Pickleball, tennis, 18-hole mini golf, beach volleyball, and more... -Daily activities: Meditation or yoga classes, bike tours, trivia and bingo, etc.
Yes and no. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception are all at Paradise Point, but there will be a location change between the ceremony/cocktail hour. The two locations are about a 4 minute walk from each other, or we will have golf carts to take people back and forth between the two events if needed.
The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all be outdoors so please dress accordingly! San Diego is known for its beautiful year-round weather, but it can get chilly once the sun goes down. We will have heaters at the reception but we would recommend you still keep the temperature in mind - at least until you can work up a sweat on the dance floor.
The dress code for the welcome party and the wedding events are located on the Schedule of Events page, but we are keeping this weekend fairly casual. No need to break out a gown or tie, but we won't stop you if you want to! Please be sure to check the weather before packing - while San Diego is known for its perfect year-round weather, it can get a little chilly, especially at night, so be sure to pack accordingly.
Ubers and Lyfts are aplenty, but if you'll be extending your stay you may want to consider renting a car so that you can explore everything San Diego has to offer. If you do rent a car, just keep in mind there is a $10 nightly parking fee if you're staying at Paradise Point.
Please refer to your invitation, or the guests listed when you search your name on the RSVP page. If a guest is listed, then they're invited! If not, we're very sorry but we’re keeping our big day limited to our closest friends and family and we appreciate your understanding.
We know many of you have recently welcomed little ones, but unfortunately our wedding events are limited to adults. However, Paradise Point is very family friendly so if you can find a babysitter during the events (read: grandma and grandpa) then they're more than welcome to tag along for the trip, especially if you're planning to extend your vacation!
The RSVPs are currently open so we would love if you could RSVP as soon as possible, but we understand there is a lot of planning involved and you may not be able to commit right away. We are asking for all RSVPs by March 6th.
Since our room block, ceremony, and reception are all at Paradise Point, transportation will not be provided on our wedding day for those staying elsewhere. We will be providing transportation from Paradise Point to the boat on Saturday for the welcome party so feel free to come to Paradise Point to hop on the bus if you're staying somewhere else. More details can be found on the Schedule of Events page.
