Things To Do

The Willard

1401 Pennsylvania Avenue Northwest, Washington, DC 20004

Recently honored as the top-ranked hotel in Washington, D.C. by the prestigious Conde Nast Readers Choice Awards, and the third-best hotel in the entire world, we invite you to experience the timeless allure of The Willard. Located just two blocks away from the White House and the historic National Mall, The Willard is a meticulously restored gem, boasting a rich history dating back to 1818. Upon entering the opulent lobby, you'll be greeted by the grandeur of dramatic marble columns, meticulously detailed tray ceilings that represent each state in the nation (challenge yourself to find your own), lush greenery, and intricate tile mosaics. It comes as no surprise that luminaries such as Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King, Jr. have sought solace under this very roof. As you wander through the lobby, make your way down Peacock Alley to The Willard's museum, where you can delve deeper into the fascinating history behind this iconic landmark.
