Bear with us - our love story isn’t short as it has been 10 years in the making! Abby and Jack first met at Visitation’s Snowflake dance as sophomores in high school. They might not have been each other’s date, but that is when they first caught each other’s eye. Fast forward to senior year - they still had not forgotten about each other and reconnected at a Halloween Party. Later that year, they shared their first kiss at the base of a ski mountain, so it is only fitting that 10 years later Jack would ask Abby to be his wife at the base of another ski mountain. They ended their senior year as prom dates, unsure of what would come next as they headed off to different schools. As they embarked on their college journeys one thing stayed the same - they couldn’t stop thinking about each other. Late night phone calls and visits to each other became the norm, and they eventually decided to make it official their junior year of college. After graduation, Abby and Jack landed jobs in NYC and couldn't wait to see what it was like dating in the same city. Safe to say they loved it! They have spent the last ten years cheering for the Nationals, hitting the tennis ball, checking out new flicks (mostly on $5 dollar Tuesdays!), traveling to unfamiliar places, and, most importantly, dating each other. They even recently expanded their home and welcomed a fur baby, Hudson, who is the love of their lives. Their love story changed for the better this September when Jack convinced Abby to go on a 5-day hike around Mont Blanc. If Abby hiking isn’t a testament to her love for Jack, I am not sure what it is! At the end of the hike, they stayed in Courmayeur, Italy where Jack organized a beautiful picnic at the base of Mont Blanc and got down on a knee! Abby figured she had earned it after 50 miles of hiking. Through the last ten years, Abby and Jack have grown up with each other, but at heart they are still those high school kids smitten in love. We cannot wait to celebrate our special day with you all in December.
