It all began in August 2017, when a shared circle of friends and a love for sports brought Abby and Evan together. Just a few months later, in October, they officially began dating—and haven’t looked back since. Early in their relationship, some of their favorite dates were simple and sweet: watching the sunset at the beach and it quickly became a tradition. Their college years were spent in beautiful Hawai'i, supporting each other at baseball and volleyball games, and making memories that would shape the years ahead. Summers and holiday breaks were spent traveling between their hometowns in Washington, Oregon, and Arizona— exploring each other’s roots and falling more in love with the places that shaped them. After both finishing school, together they began dreaming and planning their next chapter. That next step took them to Arizona in the summer of 2021. Since then, Arizona has become home, full of new experiences, travel, and yearly visits back to the Pacific Northwest—a place they both love. And it was there, during a trip to Washington in August 2024, that Evan proposed while they watched the sunset. When it came time to choose a wedding reception location, it was only fitting to return to the place that feels like home: the Pacific Northwest, surrounded by the people they love most.
