Aaron and Zoe met on a dating app, shocker I'm sure. Zoe's profile included the fun fact "I can name more Country music songs than you" and to her surprise, she just happened to find someone who could one up her on that matter. Aaron was moving to Columbus, Ohio to play baseball at The Ohio State University and Zoe had moved back to Columbus earlier that year to start her career as a nurse. When they first officially matched, Aaron was still living at home in Kansas for the holidays before the baseball season started, so their first "date" was an almost 3 hour FaceTime call from halfway across the country. After almost two months of "long distance" and never meeting in person, Aaron moved to Columbus and the rest is history. Aaron and Zoe have traveling around the country, been to countless Country concerts (because of course) and have become dog "Mom" and "Dad" in their 4 years together. Aaron proposed to Zoe on December 27, 2025 which also happened to be their 4 year anniversary. When Zoe made comments earlier in the year about waiting for an engagement, Aaron continued to say, it'll happen this year, and boy did he just make the cutoff! After spending a week in Florida with Zoe's family for Christmas, the two took the long drive back to Columbus and made an overnight pit stop in Charleston, South Carolina. The goal of the trip for Zoe, to take their puppy, Rhett, to the beach for the very first time. Aaron on the other hand, had other plans. On the beach for the first time ever with Rhett, Aaron got down on one knee and asked Zoe to marry him. It was a magical moment and one they will never forget, although neither them are really sure if Aaron actually asked or Zoe really said yes, there may have been a "black out" moment from nerves and excitement. But don't worry, they cleared that up in the car on the way to dinner and Zoe did in fact say yes! The two could not be more excited to start their married life together and feel so grateful to be surrounded by so many people that love them. Their love story is uniquely their own and they would not be the people they are today without each other and all of the people around them who give their love and support everyday!
