Flight
We recommend flying into Denver International Airport (DIA) and renting a car to drive the additional two hours up to Grand Lake for the weekend. There is a free shuttle from the airport to the rental car center, or you can use the Turo rental car app to reserve a car to pick up in the long term parking lot. For an alternative to renting a car, there is a mountain shuttle service that can take you from the airport up to to Grand Lake via Grand Mountain Rides. The cost is about $150 per person each way.
Travel Note
Grand Lake is a beautiful and historic town nestled on the western side of Rocky Mountain National Park. As it is a remote mountain town, ride-share options like Uber or Lyft are very limited. While the town itself is fully walkable, no shuttle will be provided following the wedding reception. For this reason, we strongly encourage you to stay on site at Grand Lake Lodge for maximum enjoyment of the weekend's festivities. From Grand Lake Lodge, guests can easily access a .6 mile long trail that goes directly into town. The lodge is also situated directly across from the Rocky Mountain National Park Kawuneeche entrance, where guests can access the highest continuous paved road and one of the most spectacular drives in the United States: Trail Ridge Road.
