Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Aaron Schmitz and Julia Rizkallah
We're so excited to share this amazing place with you! Grand Lake is nestled on the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP), so there are tons of trails to explore on foot in addition to driving the scenic byway, Trail Ridge Road. Timed entry into the park is required between 9am and 2pm most days which can be reserved here: https://www.recreation.gov/timed-entry/10086910 We're planning to hike Friday morning and would love for you to join! Boats are available for rent from Trail Ridge Marina on Shadow Lake which connects to Grand Lake. They are currently accepting reservations for 3, 4, or 8hrs. You'll catch us boating Friday from 10-4! Adams Falls

Adams Falls

East Inlet Trailhead, Grand Lake, CO 80447

Beautiful hike to waterfalls - great for families! You can continue on from the falls along the East Inlet Trail towards Lone Pine Lake for a longer adventure (up to 11 miles out and back).

North Inlet to Cascade Falls

North Inlet Trailhead, Grand Lake, CO 80447

This beautiful hike is a Grand Lake favorite. The trail starts out wide and flat as it ambles through panoramic meadows dotted with wildflowers and willow bushes–a popular hangout area for moose–before narrowing to hug the curves of a slow moving creek. After a gradual climb to the top, find a shady spot to rest along the water’s edge to gaze at the falls and have a picnic. From here you can return downhill to the trailhead, or continue on several more miles to a series of remote alpine lakes!

Monarch Lake Trailhead

Monarch Lake Trailhead

Waterton Valley, Granby, CO 80446

This easy four-mile loop trail which hugs the curves of the lake shore, is one of the best day hikes in the Grand Lake area. The trailhead also offers access to a network of trails in the rugged Indian Peaks Wilderness Area, including the Continental Divide Trail hike.
