Her adventurous spirit has motivated her to plan countless memorable road trips, travels, hikes, and camping adventures with Mira. Rana’s talents are as impressive as they are diverse—she’s an athlete, a musician, and an environmental engineer who is dedicated to making the world a better place. She cares deeply and loves wholeheartedly. Mira is incredibly proud and honored to call Rana her sister.

Zeina Fawaz

Bridesmaid

Zeina is Mira’s childhood best friend, a bond that has always felt like sisterhood. They spent countless holidays together and created memories that will last a lifetime. Even when they were continents apart, their support for each other never wavered—they were always just a phone call away. Zeina is a world traveler who has lived in several cities across Europe and the U.S. In her free time, she expresses her creativity as a talented photographer and artist. Free-spirited, nonjudgmental, honest, and authentic, Zeina is the embodiment of an incredible friend and true confidant.

Paige Kirwin

Bridesmaid

Paige was one of Mira’s first friends in the U.S. They met at Glendale Community College and quickly bonded, going on an unforgettable marine biology course in Baja California together—one of many adventures to follow. Mira always loved spending time with Paige—whether they were studying together, hanging out at someone’s house, or traveling and exploring new places together. Paige is now the proud owner of Halcyon Farm, where she trains horses and works with equestrians. Not only is she an accomplished equestrian with a master’s degree in psychology, but she is also a kind, caring, and amazing friend.

Jamie Shah

Bridesmaid

Jamie and Mira became friends early in medical school. They studied together, took breaks together, and made the most of their limited free time by exploring coffee shops, hiking in Arkansas, and even driving to New Orleans for spring break. They decided to do their clinical rotations in Fort Myers, where they became the best of roommates—cooking together, debriefing about their days, and sharing countless laughs. Their time in Florida was filled with adventure and the creation of lasting friendships.

Kaitlynn Small

Bridesmaid

Mira met Kaitlynn in Fort Myers during her third year of medical school, and they quickly became close friends. Kaitlynn is always up for any adventure—whether it is kayaking in the Everglades, shooting invasive iguanas in Miami, swimming with manatees, attending Gasparilla pirate festivals, or going to a rock concert in Tampa—she is always game! Her adventurous spirit leads her to enjoy backpacking trips and medical mission work, blending her love for travel and helping others. She’s an amazing friend and a brilliant ER doctor that Mira looks up to.

Mackenzie Taychert

Bridesmaid

Mira met Mackenzie during her third year of medical school, and they became roommates the following year. Mackenzie is a self-care advocate with brilliant ideas for fun plans. You can usually find her relaxing by the pool or beach in the daytime, or hitting the dance floor at night. She’s a Harry Potter trivia queen and loves everything related to theme parks and magic. Mackenzie has introduced Mira to many fun board games. Even as a new internal medicine attending physician, she still makes time to travel and meet up with her friends.

Victoria Gordon

Bridesmaid

Mira met Victoria during her fourth year of medical school, and they quickly became close friends. Victoria is everyone’s hype woman—her energy and infectious laughter light up any room. She has a talent for encouraging others to let loose and have a good time. Somehow, she manages to be a strong advocate, attend conferences, and travel the world all while serving as an ER chief resident physician. Victoria is bright, confident, fun, radiates energy, and is always looking out for her friends.

Maher Abdel-Sattar

Officiant

The wedding officiant is Mira’s brother, Maher. Maher has looked out for Mira since she was a baby, guiding and supporting her through her transition to the U.S. and every milestone since. He has not only shared his wisdom with Mira, but also his joy for life, always encouraging her to live her life to the fullest. Mira and Aaron are honored to have Maher officiating their union and being part of another milestone moment in their lives.

Jason Haas

Best Man

The Best Man is Aaron’s youngest brother, Jason. From an early age, they developed a strong bond through their shared love of sports, spending countless hours in the backyard playing soccer and badminton. Over time, their interests have expanded to include fine cocktails, discovering new restaurants, playing pickleball, and pick-up soccer. Jason has always been a trusted confidant and steadfast supporter of Aaron. Aaron takes great pride in Jason’s dedication to pursuing his dreams. Now a programmer at Google, Jason resides in Brooklyn, NY, where he continues to thrive both personally and professionally.

Harrison Wagener

Groomsman

Aaron has known Harrison since he was a baby as their fathers have been best friends since college. They grew up spending every 4th of July together in Coronado where they enjoyed a week jam-packed with activities including wakeboarding, basketball, pool volleyball, and eating hot dogs while watching the famous Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest. As they grew older, their adventures expanded to exploring San Diego, particularly its renowned breweries. Harrison is more than a friend, he is part of Aaron’s chosen family, and Aaron feels truly fortunate to have him in his life.

Riley Hales

Groomsman

Riley is Aaron’s oldest friend. They grew up across the street from each other until Aaron moved 1 mile away, to live across the street from his grandparents. Riley’s family was incredibly gracious and welcomed Aaron’s family every year for thanksgiving. Growing up, Riley and Aaron did everything together: T-ball, boy scouts, and of course soccer, where they won multiple championships under Riley’s captaincy. Now an anesthesiologist in Baltimore and a devoted father of four, Riley remains a lifelong friend whom Aaron deeply admires.

Samson Khounchanh

Groomsman

Sam and Aaron met through a mutual friend after their freshman year of college. They spent most of that summer perfecting their bowling game at Tustin Lanes’ Rock ‘n Bowl every Friday night. Their friendship expanded beyond the lanes when Sam introduced Aaron to his first music festival, Coachella, in 2019, and Aaron returned the favor by bringing Sam to Gasparilla in 2020. They still get together at least once a year in Vegas, where Sam introduces Aaron to local hidden gems off the Strip and takes him to the archery range.

Ryan Gillis

Groomsman

Aaron met Ryan at Claremont McKenna College, where they first connected through their shared love of soccer, winning an intramural championship together. Their friendship quickly grew over a mutual passion for the outdoors, FIFA, and spontaneous adventures. Known for his ever-present smile and gift for storytelling, Ryan brings energy and warmth to every moment. Now a Lieutenant Commander in the Navy, a pediatric nephrologist in San Diego, and a devoted father, he remains an inspiring and lifelong friend.

Dolph Adomian

Groomsman

Aaron met Dolph at Claremont McKenna College, but their friendship truly blossomed when they became roommates in Westwood. For two years, they explored everything Los Angeles had to offer, from local dive bars with $1 shot nights to lively clubs where Dolph’s legendary dance moves always stole the spotlight. Beyond his humor and spot-on impressions, Dolph is the kind of friend who doesn’t hesitate to jump on a plane for a good time with friends, whether it’s to the Texas State Fair, a pirate festival in Tampa, or any adventure in between.

Luke Saunders

Groomsman

Aaron met Luke at the Westwood apartment, where Luke was a regular presence before eventually moving in—making it, without a doubt, the most fun house. Laid-back and effortlessly funny, Luke has a contagious laugh and an incredible palate for food. He inspired Aaron’s love of meat-smoking, and to this day, Aaron still turns to him for cooking, grilling, and smoking tips. When Aaron moved from LA to Dallas, Luke was by his side for the road trip, a testament to his loyalty and unwavering friendship. No matter how busy life gets, they always find time to reconnect.
