If you are coming South past Ventura or North on the 101: Take the 126 freeway EAST towards Santa Clarita. Drive about 28 miles into the town of Fillmore. Turn LEFT onto N Main St. Then turn LEFT onto Center St. Finally turn RIGHT onto Park Street. Follow that street up to a gate where the code to enter is on the code box. Enter into the gate and park on the RIGHT next to the orange trees. YOU MADE IT!! If you are coming from the 5 freeway either North or South through Santa Clarita: Take Newhall Ranch Road/ 126 freeway WEST for about 11 miles. Take a slight RIGHT onto Center St when you enter Fillmore. Then in about one mile turn RIGHT onto Park St. Take that street up to a gate where the code for the gate is on the code box. Enter through the gate and park on the RIGHT behind the orange trees. WELL DONE YOU'RE HERE!
Please walk up to the front sweeping steps at the corner of the mansion. You will then enter through the front door where you can see the beautiful architecture of the building. Please if you decide to bring gifts or cards place them under the Christmas tree in the front room. There you will find your table number, and we kindly ask you to sign our guest book! From there you will walk past the staircase out to the back yard where the ceremony will take place.
The ceremony will be taking place in the backyard of the mansion next to the large tree in the center of the field. The ceremony will be conducted by my wonderful uncle, Craig Knudsen, and should not be longer than 30 minutes. After the ceremony, we invite you to walk around the Mansion to the front yard where the cocktail hour will commence.
During the cocktail hour we will be taking pictures with our families. Please enjoy the hors d'ovuers and games available. You are also welcome to explore the orange groves and the grounds of the Mansion at this time. Unfortunately, the upper stories of the Mansion are not available for exploring at this time. (If you have a burning desire to see the rest of the Mansion you can set up a tour with Adam through the website! He is incredibly knowledgeable and it is definitely worth it!) At the Mansion we will be partaking in family-style eating. The final menu has not been set yet, but you will definitely get to "try the gray stuff--it's delicious! Don't believe me? Ask the Mrs.!" There will be plenty of options for you to enjoy and so be prepared to eat some amazing food! The Chef is fantastic and there are options for all! As of right now the only allergy we definitely know is no Walnuts! If you have another allergy or specifically want a vegetarian/vegan meal please contact us directly!
We are lucky enough to have the owner of the INLAND EMPIRE BREWING COMPANY as part of our wedding party. He has graciously provided multiple types of beers for your enjoyment. In addition there will be a red and white wine available, along with a bubbly champagne if you want something sweeter. Of course there will be all soft drinks available including water, tea, and sodas. Additionally, we are looking to potentially bring in some specialty cocktails so tune in later for an update!
I will be making a small cake for Michael Thomas and I to cut and eat. However, the dessert options we are offering all of you include many different holiday pies including my favorite chocolate bourbon pecan pie, and holiday cookies! So please feel to eat as much or as little as you desire!
Once the dancing has begun, there will be s'more ingredients available around the fire pit next to the mansion. Please feel free to partake in those sweet snacks!
Our evening will come to a close at 10:00 pm. We invite you to relax, dance a bit, re-connect with those you haven't seen in a long while and then we will close the night with a last dance at 10. If you feel a little inebriated, we ask that you please get an Uber/Lyft or carpool with another. You're car is okay to stay at the Mansion overnight. We just ask that you please come to pick up your car before 11:00 am the following day. And THANK YOU!
