Shannon & Matt's Recommended Craft Beer Trail
Shannon and Matt have discovered a great craft beer trail while spending time in Asheville. Though this list is only 5 of their favorites, there are roughly 3-5 more breweries along this trail. All the breweries are located in downtown Asheville and each brewery is within a 1-3 minute walk from each other. All breweries have various styles of beer to drink, Shannon & Matt have listed what each brewery is known for. Stop 1: Bhramari Brewing Co. Tupelo Honey
Enjoy some amazing made from scratch Southern food right in the heart of Downtown Asheville. We came here with Shannon's parents for dinner the night we booked our venue, and everything we ate was amazing!
Blue Ridge Parkway
While the Blue Ridge Parkway spans much further than Asheville itself, don't miss the opportunity to drive down one of the most scenic parkways in the US. The fall colors will be on beautiful display this time of year as well!
Urban Trail
Walk along this 1.7 mile self-guided 'scavenger hunt' of sorts to learn about Asheville and some of the history behind this funky little mountain town!
Biltmore Estate
Aside from great beer and beautiful views, Asheville is often known for having the Biltmore Estate, a beautiful old estate that can be toured, dined at, or you could even stay here! Fun Fact: One of the Groomsmen, Derek, actually worked at the restaurant here while in culinary school!
New Belgium Brewing Company
Asheville is known for some great beer, and you might even already know New Belgium Brewing! Defintiely stop by here and get a Fat Tire.
White Duck Taco Shop
Though it may look like a doomsday bunker from the outside and the inside, too. This taco shop has some of the most unique sounding and tasting tacos around. Their unique flavors and combinations make them the best place in Asheville for street style tacos. The best part is, you pay by the taco, giving you the option to purchase one of each, literally!
Strada Italiano
We had our very first dinner in Asheville here at Strada and enjoyed some incredible Italian food in a warm and comfy atmosphere. Make sure to enjoy some dessert while you are here, since it is delicious!
Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.
Nothing like another great brewery to add to the list! Asheville is not by any means short on breweries, but this is a big name in Asheville, and you've probably had one of their beers from your local Total Wine. If you like IPAs, this is the place for you!
Biscuit Head
If you wake up hungry or hungover, you NEED to stop at Biscuit Head! Either enjoy a delicious home made biscuit with some seasonal or go big and get an incredibly overfilling biscuit sandwich. The biscuits are big, so make sure you bring a good appetite!
