Where to Stay

The Wedding Website of Kathryn Jacoby and Jeff Whitehill

Travel Note

Staying on the Island

Camano Island is a small community about an hour drive from Seattle. It has limited places to stay, and they book up well in advance! If you'd like to stay overnight on the island, we encourage you to book as early as possible. There are still lots of options on VRBO and several group vacation homes on AirBnB, as well as camping and cabin options at Camano Island State Park. If you're ok driving a bit after the ceremony, there are more places to stay on the mainland (Arlington, Marysville, Everett area). If you're coming from out of town and need some guidance, or want to connect with a group of people to share a larger rental, feel free to get in touch! Pro tip: when booking through a vacation rental site, be sure your rental is on Camano Island and not a neighboring island.

House Or Rental

Cama Beach State Park

1880 West Camano Drive
Camano Island, WA 98282
 (360) 387-1550

Cama Beach has rustic cabins along the water. You can book them 9 months in advance, and they book fast. See the website for more details--note that you need to bring your own linens, pillows, etc. Cama Beach is also a popular wedding location, so bear in mind you may be sharing it with a bunch of people who know each other.

House Or Rental

Camano Island State Park

Camano Island State Park is a relatively inexpensive and beautiful place to stay overnight, if you are up for camping or rustic cabins. Campsites can be reserved starting January, 2019. Cabins are reservable starting January 16th by the instructions on the website. Visit the website for more detailed information about each.

Flight

Paine Field

Paine Field in Everett is a brand new, smaller airport north of Seattle, and only an hour from our wedding venue. If you are coming from California, check it out! There also appear to be rental car options nearby. For more info on how much of a breeze this airport is: https://www.seattletimes.com/life/travel/whats-it-like-to-fly-out-of-paine-field-we-try-it-on-the-first-week-to-find-out

Rental Car

Share a car

It's pretty hard to get out to Camano without a car, so if you're coming from out of town, you'll want to plan on renting one. But before you rent one, check with us if you'd like to connect with other guests with whom you can share a car or carpool.
