We will be grilling burgers, so sides, sweets, or your favorite burger topping would be perfect. If you're coming from out of town, we definitely don't expect you to cook! A beverage to share would be wonderful.
Our wedding and "reception" are all one event at the Four Springs House, from 3pm-8pm. If 5 hours isn't enough, you're welcome to join us for an after party. The after party is no-host and will be at a bar in town (21+).
September in the Seattle area is beautiful, but unpredictable! Layer up and be prepared for drizzle or sunshine, either is equally possible.
There is no Uber on Camano Island! We are not planning on providing any transportation between events due to the scattered nature of accommodations around the island. We will probably bring bikes so we can get around safely after a few beverages. You can check out Stanwood, the nearest town, for taxi services.
Our day-of coordinator, Kelsie, is your best bet! Her number is 206.290.2400
The sooner the better! We are asking for RSVPs to be submitted no later than August 1st. You can find the RSVP link at the top of the page or on your invitation.
We're casual people and this is a casual wedding. Be prepared for lots of lawn games, so make sure you're comfortable. If the weather cooperates, we will be outdoors for most of the day. That said, these pictures will live on forever in our lives, so no grubby t shirts.
I am waiting to find that perfect set of dishes, and they just don't exist yet. In the meantime, our mismatched Goodwill dishes are totally functional. You can choose to contribute to our homestead fund and designate the funds for matching dishes. But I am a nonprofit grant writer and you know how much we like general operating funds.
Camano Island is a lovely community with lots to do (and lots of relaxing to be done as well). There are beautiful trails, gorgeous views of the sound, and a lot of local artists. Here are some of our favorite spots to check out: - Cama Beach Cafe for a delicious breakfast and fresh baked scones - Ale Spike Brewery for good beer, friendly people, and sometimes a hot dog cart. Dogs and kids welcome. - Hiking/walking trails on the south end of the island - Walk along the beach in the state park - Visit an art gallery or a local art studio (https://www.camanostudiotour.com/gallery) - Camano Island Marketplace Bakery (we haven't been here but it comes highly recommended)
