Originally built in 1860 along Glen Eden Road, the barn, owned by the estate of Gene and Dee Graham, descendants of early settler of Cranberry Township, Matthew Graham, was slated to be sold as part of a real estate development and eventually torn down. The barn and farmhouse had been in the Graham family since its original construction, but was restored by Gene and Dee in the 1950’s as they started their own dairy farm, Brookvue Acres. For the next half century, the barn was the epicenter of daily life for the Graham family. All six children and numerous farm hands pitched in to help run the dairy. Resigned to spend more time with their grandchildren, the Grahams retired in 1998, happily closing that chapter of their life. Their legacy carries on in Graham Park, a donation of their farmlands to the community, in Cranberry Twp.

A premier rustic venue space for your event. Originally the home of a functioning farm, the barn social has undergone a full renovation while maintaining the original rustic features. The barn features a chandelier in the main room that is constructed using old farming equipment, and the shiplap walls as well as the fireplace downstairs were both built using extra pieces of the original barn. These are just a few ways we have kept the original aesthetic of the space.

FAQs about barn in Pittsburgh, PA
A wedding for 100 guests in Pittsburgh typically costs between $25,700 and $38,500, according to the Zola Wedding Cost Index. The venue itself represents about 15% of that total budget.
Based on Zola marketplace data, barn wedding venues in Pittsburgh have a median starting price of $5,275, with most venues ranging from $4,000 to $7,000. Beyond the venue rental, plan for these significant expenses:
- Catering and bar services ($6,815 combined)
- Photography and videography ($5,679 combined)
- Florals and planning services ($7,272 combined)
For smaller celebrations of 50 guests ($15,600–$23,300) or larger events of 150+ guests ($35,200–$52,700+), adjust these proportions accordingly.
Pittsburgh's barn wedding venue options range across three capacity tiers to fit different celebration sizes.
Intimate celebrations under 50 guests have limited barn options, with venues starting from $1,599. This works well for elopements or small family gatherings within the $15,600–$23,300 total budget range.
Medium-sized weddings of 51–150 guests have three barn venues to choose from, starting from around $4,000. This tier accommodates the standard 100-guest celebration ($25,700–$38,500 budget) and slightly larger events.
Large celebrations of 150+ guests have the most options—15 barn venues across the Pittsburgh area starting from $5,752. These venues support 200-guest ($43,600–$65,400) and 300-guest ($60,500–$90,800) weddings, offering flexibility for extended guest lists and multi-day celebrations.
While barn venues tend to cluster in Pittsburgh's outer neighborhoods, several appeal to couples wanting easy access to the city center. Shadyside and Mt. Washington offer proximity to Downtown with scenic backdrops—Mt. Washington particularly provides stunning views of the Three Rivers confluence, ideal for ceremony photos.
Lawrenceville has become increasingly popular for events, blending urban accessibility with a growing venue scene. Tiny Venue Big Farm Adventure, rated 5.0/5, starts at $1,599 and features beautiful farm views that feel removed from the city despite convenient access.
For couples prioritizing authentic barn aesthetics with shorter travel times from Downtown, these neighborhoods balance rural charm with urban convenience. Many venues in these areas welcome 50–150 guest counts, fitting mid-range wedding budgets effectively.
Pittsburgh's top-rated barn venues deliver exceptional experiences across different budgets and styles.
Glen Eden Barn is rated 5.0/5 and starts at $7,000. A guest who worked with The Hype DJ Duo there shared: "It was one of the most memorable weddings we've DJed—the venue's character really shines."

Most Pittsburgh barn venues welcome creative customization, though your options depend on the specific property and season. Many barns allow flexible décor—string lights, fabric draping, and florals typically enhance rather than damage rustic spaces. Lighting upgrades are popular in Pittsburgh's autumn and winter months when daylight fades early, and venues often permit uplighting or bistro arrangements.
Layout flexibility varies by venue. Larger barns in neighborhoods like Fox Chapel and outer areas tend to offer more freedom with table arrangements and ceremony placement. Indoor/outdoor setups are common, taking advantage of Pittsburgh's spring and fall weather.
Restrictions to confirm upfront: flooring requirements, outside catering policies, décor attachment methods, and noise ordinances (especially relevant for urban-adjacent venues in Shadyside or Lawrenceville). Always ask about included tables, chairs, and lighting before planning major design elements. Many venues require approved vendor lists for electrical or structural work.
Discuss your vision directly during venue tours—customization comfort varies significantly between properties.
Barn venues vary widely in what they provide, so it's important to ask before booking. Some barns come with basic structures like tables, chairs, and lighting, while others offer a blank canvas where you bring in everything. Many venues in the $4,250 median starting price range include the building itself, restrooms, and parking—but décor customization often costs extra.
Here's what to clarify with your venue:
- Whether linens, centerpieces, and floral arrangements are included or rented separately
- If the venue provides uplighting, string lights, or other ambient lighting
- What happens if weather requires moving indoors (some barns have covered areas)
- Whether you can bring in outside decorators or if they have preferred vendors
- If ceremony and reception spaces both allow full customization
Most barn venues love personalization—that's part of their charm. Get a detailed walkthrough of what's included in your package, and don't hesitate to ask for photos of other weddings to see decoration possibilities. This helps you budget accurately for flowers, rentals, and design elements.
For a 100-guest wedding in Pittsburgh, couples typically spend between $25,700 and $38,500, according to the Zola Wedding Cost Index. This is notably higher than the national median of $25,000, reflecting Pittsburgh's growing wedding market.

- Venue: ~$4,732 (15% of total budget)
- Florists: ~$4,483
- Catering: ~$3,786
- Bar services: ~$3,029
- Photography: ~$2,939

Your guest count directly impacts both venue selection and budget. Here's how to align the two:
- 50 guests: $15,600–$23,300 total budget. Intimate venues in historic buildings or smaller private spaces work well.
- 100 guests: $25,700–$38,500 total budget. This is the standard benchmark and accommodates most classic reception spaces across Pittsburgh neighborhoods.
- 150 guests: $35,200–$52,700 total budget. Medium-to-large ballrooms and event spaces become more accessible.
- 200+ guests: $43,600–$65,400+ total budget. Larger venues with full catering kitchens and flexible layouts.
Based on Zola marketplace data, Pittsburgh venues start from $5,000, with a median around $7,500. Factor in your catering costs when selecting a space—some venues include food service, while others allow outside caterers.
