The tour begins with a 20-minute drive from the hotel to the Peninsula section of the National Park, near Lake Arenal. Takeaone-mile long walk on an easy trail for about an hour. Throughout the tour, enjoy excellent views overlooking Lake Arena and the Tilaran Volcanic Mountain Range in the observation bays that are found along the trail. At the end of the walk, participants will get the opportunity to climb to the observation platform of approximately 40-feet high for a closer and amazing view of the volcano. Receive a full explanation of its history, activity cycles, and geological formation among other relevant data.
At the end of the trail, enjoyfresh fruit before taking a boat for a tour along the forested shores of Lake Arenal and islets to try to find some animals. This is the ideal place to take scenic photographs of the volcano if it is clear. After about 45 minutes, the boat docks in the sector of the Arenal Dam.
Tour guests are welcome to add a visit to the hot springs of their choice (at additional cost) where they will enjoy the thermal mineral water for approximately three hours. Afterward, tour guests will be picked up and taken back to their hotel.
Be sure to bring camera, binoculars, tennis shoes, insect repellent, comfortable clothing, and raincoat.
