Zy's pov: That day is honestly kinda hazy when I look back at the summer we first met. It was the end of June, and I was running myself ragged at work and decided that I should get out more while I was young instead of working my life away, coincidentally a friend of mine at the time had asked if I wanted to go shopping after work, catch up, so forth and so forth. Unfortunately, I have no concept of time so when I was all changed and ready to go we had all of 30 minutes to Rome around the mall, get what was needed and dip. Lets fast forward to that night to save time lol. I was asked if I was ok meeting new people last minute or if I was ready to go back home. Bored and ready for a little casual chaos I nodded, played with the dog and waited for the rest of said company. I'm not gonna lie once everyone came in and settled I locked eyes with Day... and I didn't like him. Or more so I was jealous of him. How can someone be so loud and welcoming? Why was he so kind? And why was he showing me pictures of his wonky-looking dog( whom I now love and adore). The night continued with everyone else except Day and I having a little fun candy, me being allowed to bleach a room full of stranger's hair with only a dog grooming certificate and a dream. I went home that night knowing I had met my person but having no clue what to do with it. Day's Pov: I remember it like it was yesterday. I'd had a rough weekend so me and some friends planned a hair dying get together on a Tuesday. I was told Zy was going to be there and I was very disinterested in interacting with them due to scheduling issues that caused them to miss one of my best friends wedding. When I got to Evans apartment the girls were all out at the mall so us guys were just messing around in the parking lot waiting for them and I noticed an interesting bumper sticker on the back of a car and said "we should be friends with that person" when I found out it was Zy's car I was immediately uninterested. Everyone else had taken an edible but I didn't know or trust Zy so I stayed fully sober just in case they said something sideways to anybody. When everyone finally got back, Zy walked in and immediately put a bunny rabbit hat on the dog. I didn't want to even be friends with her but I couldn't help but be drawn in as soon as I saw her and though my brain was very much against liking this person in any way, I was infatuated. I don't get close to people but all of a sudden I'm letting this very odd very strange lady dye my hair at midnight. She was absolutely stunning, funny without even trying and had a smile that lit up the room, she kept giving the rest of us a side eye but it was comical and we were kinda doing dumb stuff so it made sense. I made every excuse I could to keep talking to Zy all night up to the point they left the apartment, I couldn't help myself. I needed to know her. I talked about them all day at work the next day and found every excuse after that for my friends to invite her to events.
