Matron of Honor
Anna is one of the most important people in my life and I could not think of my day without her. Anna is my older sister who has been so supportive in many aspects of my life. Anna has encouraged me to find my happily ever after and she has been able to share her wisdom of love by example with her husband. I have admired her relationship with my brother-in-law and had hoped to have it one day with my love. I am so blessed to have her be a part of my wedding day and she was there when Tim had popped the question.
Best Man
My college roommate our last year in school, he was a natural pick to be my best man. Schumann, or "Matt" as he has been known to answer, has always been the other half of a dynamic duo that I don't think either one of us anticipated. Pulled together by fate and random unfortunate circumstances, we became fast friends and a support bubble for one another that lives on to this day. Schu is the guy who can, will and does drop everything to help...most of the times before he's even asked. I couldn't have asked for a more supportive friend, or more of an embodiment of the term "best man."
Bridesmaid
Eileen came into my life thru Tim and I could not imagine my life without my best friend. Eileen has been there for me when I have needed her the most. Eileen and I has a friendship so deep it's like a sisterhood. We can go many weeks without talking but when we do it is like no time is lost. We have been each other's cheerleaders in our lives and I am so amazed that we feel so strongly about each other after such a short time. I could not imagine my day without my OG.
Groomsman
I met Mick through his (then) girlfriend, Eileen. We spent a day playing board games and hanging out and I can honestly say I felt a very Step Brother moment: "Did we just become best friends?" Mick has been a board game brother in arms for the longest of time. Since the beginning he's become a confidant, a brother, and a right hand man. At my side during our stint at Connecticon, he always had my back and was one of the first to visit and spend time during my elongated hospital stay when I was diagnosed with MS. There was little doubt I wanted him besides me when I got married.
Bridesmaid
Gabby came into my life when I met her brother, Tim. Gabby had become like family very quickly and I love tag-teaming with her to tease her brother. Gabby has been there for me when I have needed her at the drop of a dime. When I was thinking about the people that I would like to be there with me on my wedding day and I thought of my future sister-in-law. I am so proud of what she has accomplished since I have known her and even more proud of getting to call her family.
Groomsman
Jay is one of my oldest friends from college. From the start he welcomed me in to his own family, biological and otherwise. We've both leaned on one another as friends and counsel in the most challenging of times as well as some of the more joyous of occasions. Our shared love of Dungeons & Dragons and collective storytelling has only brought us closer together throughout the years. Jay has always been a brother to me and that is why I will have him stand with me on my wedding day.
Junior Bridesmaid
Avery is one of my beautiful nieces and I have watched her grow into the amazing young woman she is. Avery and I have been close for many years. I couldn't imagine my day without her standing with me. Avery has talked about my wedding day with me since she has asked if I was going to get married to Tim. Avery was very excited when I had gotten engaged to Tim while visiting her in Georgia and immediately started dress hunting with me online. Avery is filled with so much energy and I wish she never loses that over the years to come.
Junior Groomsman
On our recent trip down to Georgia, I was able to connect with my soon-to-be nephew on a variety of topics and similar interests. We spent the majority of the trip in each other's company and I felt a kindred spirit with him. It made Shane an easy pick to fill out my groomsmen cadre and I very much look forward to having him by my side as a junior groomsman.
Flower Girl
Charlotte is Katie's beautiful goddaughter and we're blessed to be including her in our special day. Charlotte and Katie are very close and she can't wait to see her go down the aisle. When Charlotte was asked to be the flower girl; Charlotte requested a black dress because it is her favorite color. When explained that flower girls don't wear the color black she looked very sad but stated "OK, that's alright." We know she is going to rock the flower girl role.
Ring Bearer
Colin is Katie's handsome nephew and is being entrusted with a very important responsibility of the rings. Colin can always bring a smile to our faces with his cute little antics which I am sure he will bring a smile to all of yours throughout our day. Here's to our brave Hei Hei and the biggest chicken nugget for protecting our rings.
