We met at our friend's Shannon's birthday party. Tim had come to the dinner at The Cheesecake Factory a little late due to work (which I had not realized) but from the moment he sat at the end of the table, his laugh and spirit was noticed. I continued to look over at him and knew I wanted to introduce myself to him. At the painting party after dinner he had sat on the opposite easel from me. I was unable to see his face most of the night but the way he had me laughing the whole night, I knew he was the one. Fast forward a couple of weeks, we had went on an "unofficial" coffee date and after 3 hours had passed quickly we knew that this could lead to something special.

It's true. We did indeed meet at our mutual friend Shannon's birthday party, however, I was actually aware of her from chatting with our mutual friend. I was intrigued by Katie beforehand and fully intended to introduce myself, but she ambushed me at the doorway from the Cheesecake Factory and we ended up chatting off and on throughout the night. My suspicions were true and I made more attempts to see Katie again from small social engagements to the whirlwind, unplanned first date that neither of us saw coming. The rest is history and the future lays ahead.

For our honeymoon, we plan go to a place close to our heart: Disneyworld! Disney has always been close to our heart through both of our childhoods as well as their recent acquisitions of Marvel and Star Wars. Planning a big trip in 2022, we look forward to celebrating our love in the happiest place on Earth.
