We met during our freshman year at Texas A&M at Midnight Yell, which is a classic Aggie tradition where the student body gathers at Kyle Field the night before a home football game to practice yells (and maybe meet your future spouse, apparently). Our paths crossed thanks to a mixer between my sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta, and Caleb’s outfit in the Corps of Cadets, Squadron 17. After Midnight Yell, Caleb’s Corps buddy Aaron George offered to walk me back to my dorm, and Caleb, being his extroverted self, naturally tagged along. That night sparked a friendship that quickly led to me inviting Caleb to my first Theta date party (Perfect Pairs theme, of course)…and the rest, as they say, is history! We officially started dating in October 2017 and have been together ever since (almost eight years now, #whoop!). We went through all of undergrad together, survived 2.5 years of long-distance while I finished PA school at UTMB in Galveston, and we’re finally living in the same city again. Caleb made the move to my hometown of Dallas, and I’m slowly converting him into a fan of all things Dallas sports, one team at a time! Caleb proposed in July 2024 at my family’s lake house, and he managed to completely surprise me! He made homemade pasta (my favorite) and we enjoyed a quiet sunset dinner before he hit me with another surprise: my sister Alex flew in all the way from Chicago. We spent the rest of the weekend celebrating a perfect 4th of July at the lake, surrounded by friends and family!
