Flight

Newark Airport

While you can fly into any of the 3 major NYC airports, Newark is the closest and easiest to get to Central NJ where the wedding events will take place.

Travel Note

Cab, Uber & Lift

If using a rideshare or cab to get to and from the airport, expect the fare to be ~$50USD, depending on traffic and demand.

Train

NJ Transit Northeast Corridor (NEC)

Before You Land: Download the NJ TRANSIT App on your phone. You can buy your ticket in the app or at a ticket machine. Your ticket should be from Newark Airport (EWR) to New Brunswick. The airport access fee for the Air Train should be automatically included. After collecting your luggage: Follow the signs for "AirTrain / Trains". Take the AirTrain (airport monorail) toward Newark Liberty International Airport Station (sometimes called Newark Airport Rail Station). Stay on until you reach the RailLink / Train Station stop. *Terminal A note*: It can be a bit of a walk to the AirTrain station. Once you board the AirTrain, stay on until you reach the stop called “Newark Liberty International Airport Station”. This is the airport’s main rail station where NJ Transit and Amtrak trains stop. On some signs or announcements, you may also see it referred to as the RailLink Station or simply the Train Station, but the important name to look/listen for is Newark Liberty International Airport Station. If you have not already bought a ticket on the NJTransit app, you will need to do so, as you will scan your ticket barcode at the fare gates to enter the train platform area. Once inside, look at the departure boards for a southbound Northeast Corridor (NEC) train heading toward Trenton, or sometimes Jersey Avenue and head to the platform listed for that train. Be careful not to get on a train that is going the wrong way, or onto one that terminates at Newark Penn. Once you are onboard, expect to ride for 30-40 minutes through stops like Newark Penn, Metropark, Metuchen, and Edison. You will need to get off the train at New Brunswick Station, which is centrally located and about a 6-minute walk from the Hyatt and 9 minutes to the Heldrich.
