When should I RSVP by?

Please RSVP by August 15th so we can get a final count to our wonderful vendors.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

If you are driving, plan to arrive by 12:30pm as you may need time to find parking.

What time should I arrive at the reception?

Answer

Our cocktail hour at the reception starts at 4:30pm. We recommend arriving anytime between 4:30-5:30pm so you have a chance to sample hors d'oeuvres, grab a drink at the open beer & wine bar, and sign our guest book! Please do not arrive earlier than 4:30pm to allow our vendors all the time they need to get everything set up.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is no designated parking for the Church, so please plan time to find a spot. Parking is allowed along the street, and there is a parking garage about a block away called "Market Street Garage." There will be on-site parking at the reception.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes! We will have a bus providing transportation from each of our three hotels to the ceremony. It will also be available to take guests to the reception, and then back to the three hotels at the end of the night. For the shuttle schedule, please see our Travel page.

Can I take the shuttle back to the hotels if I am too tired or buzzed to drive my car back?

Answer

Yes, please do! Anyone is welcome to use the shuttle to return to the hotels at the end of the night, even if you drove a car to the reception. Our wonderful venue allows overnight parking in order for guests to depart safely. We are happy to help make arrangements for you to pick up your car the next morning! The best gift to us would be to have you in our lives for years to come <3

What is there to do between the ceremony and reception?

Our number one suggestion is to explore Charlottesville's downtown pedestrian mall! Check out our "Things to Do" page for lots of great recommendations!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

There's no strict dress code, but you can aim for semi-formal. Make sure to keep an eye on the weather as it could get chilly in the valley. And don't forget to bring your dancing shoes!

When should I book my hotel arrangements?

Answer

We recommend booking as soon as possible! There is a home football game for the University of Virginia so rooms will fill up quick. We have rooms blocked at three hotels until August 20th, after which they will be released to the public. Alternative accommodations will likely fill up fast and/or be fairly expensive. Check out our "Travel" page for more details on our hotels and receiving our discounted group rates!

How far apart are the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Silver Fox Lavender Farm is 35 miles from Holy Comforter, which is about a 40-45 minute scenic drive through the valley.

Is there an airport in Charlottesville?

Answer

Yes! "CHO" is located about 15 minutes from downtown.
