We're getting married!

We met briefly in gym class. I was in 11th grade, and he was in 10th grade. We quickly went from being strangers to friends. We would walk to class together every day and talk all night on the phone. It was clear that we liked each other very much. Being so young we realized that it was not the right time to be together, so we decided to stay friends. We slowly drifted apart but found our way back to each other April of 2023. As we started to reconnect, we realized that our feelings never left but stayed hidden until we found our way back to each other. We quickly realized that God had brought us back into each other's lives and he had a beautiful plan for us. May 13, 2023, Xavier asked me to be his girlfriend. Filled with joy and excitement I said yes with no hesitation. December 23, 2024, Xavier proposed to me in the park we went to on our first date, and of course I said yes! September 10, 2025, we will be saying "I do"!

Nos conocimos brevemente en la clase de gimnasia. Yo estaba en 11.º grado y él en 10.º grado. Rápidamente pasamos de ser extraños a amigos. Caminábamos juntos a clase todos los días y hablábamos por teléfono toda la noche. Estaba claro que nos gustábamos mucho. Siendo tan jóvenes, nos dimos cuenta de que no era el momento adecuado para estar juntos, así que decidimos seguir siendo amigos. Poco a poco nos fuimos distanciando, pero nos volvimos a encontrar en abril de 2023. Al empezar a reconectarnos, nos dimos cuenta de que nuestros sentimientos nunca se habían ido, solo estaban escondidos hasta que volvimos a encontrarnos. Rápidamente comprendimos que Dios nos había reunido nuevamente y que tenía un plan hermoso para nosotros. El 13 de mayo de 2023, Xavier me pidió que fuera su novia. Llena de alegría y emoción, le dije que sí sin dudarlo. El 23 de diciembre de 2024, Xavier me propuso matrimonio en el parque al que fuimos en nuestra primera cita, ¡y por supuesto le dije que sí! El 10 de septiembre de 2025, ¡diremos “Sí, acepto”!
