Our story starts the same as a lot of couples' these days: OK Cupid matched us up, Andy actually read the entirety of my novella of a profile, and we started chatting. After a few weeks, on March 3, 2017, we met in Phoenixville for dinner and, by the end of the evening, we both knew we'd found something special.

We went to Ocean City, MD for Valentine's weekend. We lucked out and had gorgeous weather on the drive down, the AirBnB was even better than we expected, and the BBQ place we found for dinner was fantastic (bonus, it was Happy Hour and there was a skinny Fat Elvis impersonator there too). We were having a great day, so we decided to ride the high and open each other's Valentine's gifts that night, instead of waiting for our "fancy" date night the next day. We took turns opening gifts. While I was turned away, Andy mentioned there was one more. I turned back to see him get down on a knee and present the ring – a complete surprise after being misdirected by ideas of a Disney engagement! I said "yes" immediately, and we spent the rest of the weekend celebrating!

Diving into wedding planning was an eye-opening experience, and we realized we would need to choose a venue quickly in order to get a date in October of 2023. While we looked into a lot of different places, Glasbern was always at the top of both of our lists. We visited, and as soon as we got into the car, we agreed that it was exactly what we wanted. We're looking forward to tying the knot in such a beautiful place, surrounded by our family and friends.
