Zoheb’s journey began in Mumbai, a city that shaped resilience and kindness. Throughout times of great uncertainty, his family - Nana & Nani, Mama & Mami, Mum & Dad, along with little sister stood as an unbreakable foundation of love and guidance. It was the love and strength of his family that held them together. Their sacrifices, care, and dedication provided the stability needed to navigate life’s challenges, shaping Zoheb into a person of profound character, grounding influence, and deep commitment.
Emme’s journey is rooted in the gift of unconditional love. Born to parents with heritage in Hong Kong and Malaysia, she has been fortunate to have their unwavering support in every path chosen and every corner of the world explored. Her foundation was built upon the supportive strength of her family, with a debt of gratitude owed to her late grandmother, whose devotion knew no bounds. During the most demanding months of infancy, her grandmother was a constant presence, traveling from Penang to China every two weeks just to ensure Emme was thriving. Emme has been truly pampered by her family, and their enduring presence and close-knit bonds have taught her the true meaning of care. She carries this legacy of being deeply cherished into her future, forever thankful for the parents and grandparents who shaped the person she is today.
A Journey of Two Worlds
Our story began thousands of miles apart, in two cities rich with heritage and heart. Zoheb was born amidst the vibrant, rhythmic energy of Mumbai, while Emmelyne grew up in the historic, colorful warmth of Penang. Though we were worlds away, our paths were already tracing a line toward one another, fuelled by a shared curiosity for the world beyond our borders.
In 2018, Emmelyne moved to Switzerland to pursue her university dreams, spending three years surrounded by quiet mountains and new horizons. Meanwhile, in 2020, Zoheb made the leap to Canada, bringing his Mumbai roots to the bustling streets of the North. It wasn't until 2023—the year Emmelyne finally arrived in Toronto—that our separate timelines finally intersected.
Our story didn’t start with a grand gesture, but with a simple conversation about cars in the office where we both worked. While some couples look for "home" in a specific neighbourhood, we found it in each other. Toronto became the backdrop to our own private world—one built on the long drives we took to explore the city and the quiet evenings spent cooking together in our kitchen, blending Chinese and Indian flavours into our own new traditions. More than anything, our time in the 6ix has been defined by how we show up for one another. Whether it was Zoheb being a constant source of support or the way we’ve challenged each other to learn and grow, we realized that home isn't just where you live. It’s being with the person who supports your journey, sitting in the passenger seat through every turn life takes.
Now, as we prepare for our wedding in September 2026, we aren’t just celebrating a marriage; we are celebrating the "Forever" of everything that made us who we are. From the Silk and Spice of our heritage to the Golden Glow of our future, we are so honoured to have our closest circle witness the moment our two worlds officially become one.
