Matt's brother Steve was getting married to Zoey's best friend from college, Kelly. When Matt met Zoey, he figured she was one of Kelly's many sisters. After the wedding, they kept in touch and met up when Matt was in Seattle for a work conference. They each decided the other was worth pursuing and thus started their journey into a long distance relationship. They have been blessed to see each other every couple of weeks and have enjoyed getting to know one another's friends, family, and towns. Just two years later they are tying the knot!

Bridesmaid and friend Ali Arehart will be making a paper crane display. In Japanese culture, 1000 paper cranes is a sign of good luck, prosperity, and happiness. We invite all guests, whether you are able to attend or not, to mail in as many paper cranes as you want (if everyone makes 10 - we'll easily reach 1000!). After the weekend's festivities, we will donate the cranes to The Children's Peace Monument in Hiroshima, Japan.
