Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Joshua Stein and Zoehriya (Nuha) Anwar
There's so much to see and explore in the Washington DC area. Here are some of our favorite things to do.

Mosaic District

2910 District Avenue, Fairfax, VA 22031

Mosaic is super close to 2941 restaurant. This is one of our favorite plazas to walk around. Check out Angelika Film Center for some unique movies. There's also a park with a green space with lounge chairs, a large advertisement screen, and a nearby coffee shop called Mom & Pop. Some of our personal favorites are Ted's Bulletin, Nando's, District Dumplings, Mimi's Homemade Ice Cream, and Pupatella. See if you can find the little free library.

National Museum of Asian Art

1050 Independence Avenue Southwest, Washington, DC 20004

Take the Metrorail - Orange Line to the Smithsonian stop. Go through the Independence Ave exit. It should be a minute walk.

Planet Word

K Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20005

This is an interactive museum to learn about phonics in the English language and other languages. It is free of charge but requires passes, which can be booked online. To visit this museum, you can take the metro train to McPherson Square on the Orange line and walk across 14th Street and Franklin Park.

Wharf

Wharf Street Southwest, Washington, DC 20024

Another one of our personal favorites to visit. This is where we got engaged. It is a 15-minute walk from the L'enfant metro station on the orange line. You can paddle across the Potomac River, catch a concert at The Anthem, and walk across the Recreation Pier. The Wharf also houses one of Gordon Ramsey's Hell's Kitchen restaurants.
