Sue-meg State Park
This is where we will be getting married in June! A beautiful state park with so many trails and beaches to explore.
Redwood National and State Parks
If you stay for a few days, you must visit the redwoods! The redwood park in Arcata is great if you don't have time but if you do, explore Prairie Creek State Park north of Orick (40 mins from Arcata)
Moonstone Beach
We spend a lot of time on Moonstone Beach, it is very easy to access and so beautiful! We play volleyball here almost every week in the summer time. Maybe we'll squeeze a game into our wedding weekend!
Arcata Plaza Farmers' Market
This is where you really see the heart and soul of our Humboldt community. We highly recommend checking it out on Saturday morning before the party. So much tasty, local food will be in season in August!

This is one of our go to breakfast places.
Renata's Crêperie
This is another great breakfast place. They also have such delicious mochas and hot chocolates served in a bowl!

Great coffee and pastries.
Cafe Mokka
This place is very special and unique. It has finnish style hot tub & saunas with a quaint little cafe. It can be difficult to snag a reservation but if you call right at 11 am the day before you want to go you can book a 30 min private hot tub or sauna. We love it here. Even if you don't get an appointment, go grab a hot chocolate or coffee and enjoy a peaceful time by the pond in the courtyard.
