We're both huge fans of the Chicago Botanic Garden. No matter what time of year you go, there's always something beautiful to see -- in October, enjoy a Fall Color Tree Walk, Night of 1,000 Jack o' Lanterns, or just take a stroll through the beautiful gardens. Zoe's favorites are the English and Japanese gardens.
Pink Couch Books is one of Zoe's favorite independent romance bookstores. They have the nicest owner and staff, and have a perfect selection for any and all romance connoisseurs. While you're there, pick up signed books by local authors and check out their upcoming events!
Right across the street from us, we're at Tighthead all the time -- especially on Wednesdays, which happens to be trivia night. Good beer, good vibes, good people.
We've both been eating at Sushi Kushi for years -- you can't go wrong; everything on the menu is delicious.
We've been going to Buttermilk at least once a month for a few years, now. The food is scrumptious and savory and the drinks are fantastic. Zoe loves the chicken fried chicken skillet, while Jack is a big fan of the chorizo gravy and biscuits.
