Paine Field is a smaller airport located in Everett, WA and is an hour from Whidbey Island but flights are more expensive through this airport.

Due to long ferry waits on the holiday weekend, it may be best to take the Deception Pass drive to get to island! Directions below! Take I-5 north from Seattle Take exit 226 Turn left onto state highway-536W Turn left onto state highway 20 at the two-lane roundabout Travel about 4 miles until you cross over the Deception Pass Bridge into Whidbey Island

If you are coming from the greater Seattle area, there is a ferry to from the Mukilteo Ferry Terminal. It leaves every 30 minutes. The last ferry run is 1am. You can also take Deception Pass and avoid the ferry altogether.

This is the hotel that is walking distance from the ferry in Mukilteo. You will have to take the 10 minute ferry to arrive in Whidbey Island. The cheapest option.
