Question

Where is the ceremony taking place?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will take place at the Hutton Brickyards in Kingston, NY.

Question

What time are the ceremony and reception?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 4:30 pm on Saturday, June 10. The reception will follow directly and conclude at 11:00 pm.

Question

Will the celebration be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Outdoors - cross your fingers and toes for good weather!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

You can find the dress code for each event on the Schedule page on our website. The ceremony/reception will be held in a field overlooking the Hudson, so you may want to bring a jacket for when the temperature drops in the evening and leave your stilettos at home!

Question

Will transportation be provided? Is there easy parking at the venue?

Answer

Shuttle service to Hutton Brickyards will be provided to and from the Beekman Arms, but, if you prefer to drive, there will be free parking at the venue. Shuttle Passengers: Shuttles will be parked directly in front of the Beekman at 3:30 pm and leave for Hutton Brickyards at 3:45 pm. They will pick up at Hutton at 10:00 pm, 10:30 pm, and 11:00 pm and take guests back to the Beekman for the after party. Drivers: Please make sure you arrive no later than 4:25 pm to avoid walking in during the processional. Please also note that there are multiple addresses for Hutton Brickyards online. The following is the address you should use for your GPS: 200 North St, Kingston, NY 12401. Parking is toward the end of the property on the left and the ceremony will be in the North Field past the Kiln Building Ruins (see attached map, which has both the parking and ceremony locations starred).

Question

Are there events I can attend besides the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes! We will be hosting welcome drinks on Friday and farewell brunch on Sunday. See "Schedule" for the complete list of weekend events with locations.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

You can RSVP to all events right from our website! Just click "RSVP" at the top of the site (next to "Things to Do").

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

We are asking that guests RSVP to all events by April 15, 2023.

Question

Can I bring my partner/kids?

Answer

Unfortunately, we will only be able to accommodate the number of people listed on your invitation. We hope you understand!

Question

I can’t attend the celebration in person. Will there be a virtual event?

Answer

We will not be streaming the event, but there will be a videographer present at the ceremony and reception, and we would be happy to share the video after the fact!

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

We are excited to offer discounted rooms at the Beekman Arms & Delamater Inn - the oldest continuously operated hotel in America. We just got an update that there are 1-2 rooms open at the hotel. If you're interested, email hugheswashingtonwedding@gmail.com or text Zoe or John to get put in touch directly with the event manager.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Answer

They are, though, weather permitting, the ceremony will take place outside on grass. If you have accessibility questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out. There is at least one golf cart available.

Question

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Answer

If you emailed about a specific allergy, we have likely already been in touch. If you are gluten-free, dairy-free, or vegetarian, there should be options for you for every meal (including dessert) and they will be clearly marked on our menus. For passed appetizers/food truck food, the servers should be able to answer any dietary questions you might have.

Question

Are you registered? Where should I ship your gift?

Answer

We are happily registered through Zola! Just click the "Registry" tab at the top of the site to see our funds and items.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the events?

Answer

We love photos, though we ask that you refrain from taking them during the ceremony: we would like that special time to be unplugged.

Question

What COVID health and safety measures will you be taking during the weekend?

Answer

We are cognizant that this is a large event and the pandemic is not over. As part of our commitment to health and safety, our ceremony and reception will take place outside, rain or shine (if it rains, the ceremony and reception will take place in an open-air pavilion).
